Our Return Policy

We stand behind our products and our Guaranteed for Good™ promise. Our product is durable by design, but if there’s a problem with your gear we’ll do what we can to make things right. 

Cotopaxi gladly accepts returns or exchanges within 60 days of purchase. To receive a refund, please make sure tags are still intact, and that items are unwashed and in new condition. A $6 return shipping fee will be deducted from the refund total. If you'd prefer, you can also make a return at one of our retail stores and avoid the shipping fee. Return Policy Exceptions

When it comes to international and U.S. territory purchases, sales are final and we can’t accept returns.

Items marked as “final sale” are ineligible for return or exchanges and Event Tickets are non-refundable.

I want to return or exchange a gift.

Even if you don’t have the order number and zip code on the order, no worries! We’ll help you exchange it or return it for store credit.

Returns & Exchanges FAQs

Once your return has been delivered to us, it typically takes 1-7 days (up to 14 days during busier times) for your refund or store credit to be processed and sent to you. If you opted for store credit, a gift card code will be sent to you via email. If you chose a refund back to the original payment method, it can take up to 10 business days for those funds to show in your account once the refund has been processed.

We aren’t able to refund to a different credit or debit card. If the original card you used to purchase the item is no longer active (e.g., it's a gift card, it’s voided, or it’s expired), we will refund you via a Cotopaxi gift card.

In regards to international and U.S. territory purchases, sales are final and we can’t accept returns. At this time, we are not able to ship to Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Ascension Island, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Caribbean Netherlands, India (Ladakh), Mexico (Oaxaca), Moldova, Morocco, New Zealand (Chatham Islands), Russia, South Sudan, Tristan da Cunha, or Tunisia.

Once an order is placed, we are unable to make any edits or adjustments. If you placed an order in the last 12 hours and want to cancel, please contact us and we will do our best to get that order canceled and refunded, but can’t guarantee it. If we’re unable to cancel it in time and the order ships, you will need to initiate a return at returns.cotopaxi.com.

If you’re returning items that earned you a free gift with purchase, and the order total minus the value of the returned items still meets the promotion threshold, you can keep the gift! If the total no longer meets the promotion threshold, you will need to return the gift as well. Just make sure you select the promotional item when initiating your return at returns.cotopaxi.com. If you’d like to keep the free gift, we will either deduct the cost of the free item from your refund or charge you for the item.
